ABOUT CFGC
OUR STORY
Jenn and Dennis Marshall founded CrossFit Garden City in 2010 with the vision of building a healthy, happy, strong community through fitness.
Since then, we have been fortunate to share our passion for health and fitness with so many incredible people, help change so many lives (for the better, we hope!) and make countless friends along the way.
Between the two of us, we have over 40 years of experience coaching people of all ages (from 4 to 80+ years of age), abilities (novice to professional athletes), goals (weight loss, performance, body composition, etc.), and backgrounds (you name it, we’ve seen it!). We love working with average men and women and helping to show them all of the above-average things they are capable of through guidance, support, compassion and care.
In addition to long, boring lists of certifications and credentials, we are both proud Level 4 CrossFit Coaches (which only a handful of people in the world can say). We have two amazing little monsters at home that bring us endless joy and help us avoid staying at the gym ALL DAY with our extended family.

– I enjoy pretty much EVERYTHING about coaching but I particularly appreciate being able to expose people to hard work, physical struggle and mental adversity and experience them overcome it through effort, will and perseverance.

MIKE KERN

– Outside of training for CrossFit and coaching CrossFit, I have my 3 daughters keeping me quite busy with their sports and activities
– Love to get away to the beach in the summer and ski in the winter

What I Enjoy Most About Coaching?
– I love connecting and interacting with members of our community on a day to day basis as they come to the gym for various reasons. Small goals or big goals, I strive to be a resource to help push and support them while making them feel like their time at CFGC is valuable and leave them excited to come back.
MARC KALAYGIAN

– Helping others achieve a new goal or helping them become better at a specific movement but mostly the community of people we have and seeing them becoming fitter and healthier.
ADRIENNE KRAVITZ

– Master’s of Education in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies, Master’s of Education in Special Education, Hofstra University

Hobbies/Interests:
– Traveling, relaxing at the beach, riding my bike, eating ice cream, cooking, and staying home with my husband and cats
